I have never been one to fall in love with those 24 hour makeover shows. Can you improve a room in 24 hours, why of course you can. However rooms take time, or at least for me they do. Most of my friends know I am a happy crier. Yes I cry at romantic comedies and I am a blubbering idiot at happy occasions. To me feeling that happiness that only comes from that moment when you know you are walking down your yellow brick road in a way that feels just right. I want that feeling in my home. For me that is feeling connected to my surroundings. No matter if your home is a studio apt or a 6 bedroom colonial revival, the thing that makes it feel like yours is what you look at and a memory comes rushing into your head. It's like getting a hug from your little spot in the world. (OK, if the walls hugged you that would be a creepy scary movie, but you know what I mean) The concept for Daisy's has always been to find things that call to you and over time create an aesthetic that feels perfect to you. The picture above are a few of my favorite kitchen items I purchased at Daisy's. The other picture are my favorite jewelry finds at Daisy's.
So here is our biggie prize for the week. Post a picture on Facebook, bring a picture into the store or email us a photo of your favorite thing you ever purchased at Daisy's. It doesn't have to be just about your house. We would love to hear about a special gift you gave or your favorite piece of jewelry too. If it makes you happy then we are happy. All pictures need to be posted by next Saturday night, August 9th at midnight.
